Overview
Foilstarr is a single water-based paste that carries the metallic effect itself. It conforms to the texture of the substrate instead of sealing it, delivering satin pearlescent lustre through to fine crystalline glitter across a spectrum of more than 500 colours — with colour matching on request.
Metallic effects have always been bolted onto textiles rather than built into them. Foil is transferred, glitter is scattered, solvent pigments are layered on — each one a separate material sitting on top of the fabric, stiffening the hand and flattening the weave until it eventually cracks or lifts.

Every conventional metallic route carries a penalty somewhere. Foil transfer generates offcut waste on every single run, glitter sheds microplastics into wash water and recycling streams, and solvent-based metallic pigments release VOCs into the air of the print floor and the atmosphere beyond it — a burden on workers and the environment alike and a compromise that's becoming untenable as buyers demand better.
The fabric pays for it too. Traditional metallic finishes stiffen the hand-feel, close off breathability, and dull in the wash within a few cycles.
