Auxiliaries

A complete auxiliaries portfolio covering pre-treatment, dyeing, printing and finishing, supplied by Dyechem International alongside its reactive dye and DYKRON pigment ranges. Every product exists to prevent a specific, expensive dyehouse failure — and behind each one sits fifty years of supplying producers at scale, with every consignment checked before despatch.

Overview

Auxiliaries are small in dosage and enormous in consequence — they decide whether the dye behaves or misbehaves. Dyechem has supplied this layer of chemistry since 1975, to producers running at volumes where a drifting product gets found out in weeks. The range covers the full cycle — wetting, scouring, sequestering, levelling, bio-polishing, fixing, soaping, softening and optical brightening — selected to run compatibly with the reactive dyes and DYKRON pigments alongside them.
Right First Time is the number a dyehouse lives or dies on. Every batch that misses shade gets corrected — and a correction cycle burns dye, salt, water, steam and machine hours, then pushes the delivery date. The recipe is rarely the culprit. It's the variables around it: hard water tying up dye in the bath, residual alkali left over from pre-treatment shifting the pH, foam breaking liquor circulation, a fixing agent that isn't what last month's drum was.

The Challenge

The failures are familiar to anyone who runs a floor. Hardness ions in the water complex with dye and flatten colour yield — the shade comes out pale on a correct recipe. Residual size and uneven absorbency from a weak pre-treatment block penetration, so dyeing inherits a defect it can't fix. Foam in the bath leaves air-pocket patches no re-dip recovers. Unfixed dye that survives a poor wash-off bleeds in the buyer's fastness test — after the goods are made.

Then there's the supplier problem. An auxiliary that performs in the lab dip and behaves differently at bulk. Drum-to-drum strength variation that turns a settled recipe into a moving target. And when a batch does fail, the drum-seller has no technician to send and no recipe on record — the dyehouse absorbs the reprocess, the stripped colour and the missed shipment alone.
Auxiliaries

The Solution

Each product targets one of these failures at its source. HIWASH 98 sequesters hardness ions before they reach the dye, protecting colour yield on whatever water the mill actually has. HIFAST WT delivers the uniform, neutral, absorbent substrate that dyeing depends on. DEFOAMER 21 keeps liquor circulation clean. BENEGEN low-foam levelling agents control exhaustion rate so the shade builds evenly across the batch instead of locking in variation before fixation.

After the dye is on, HIFIX RN and formaldehyde-free HIFIX FF lock it there, and RSKI PLUS soaping strips what didn't fix — so fastness is decided on your floor, not in the buyer's lab. The HIZYME family runs seven bio-polishing grades from acid-stable to neutral/dyebath, matched to fabric and process rather than one-enzyme-fits-all. PS 600 / PS 900 silicones and HISOFT cationic softeners set hand feel without stripping the fastness just built, and printing runs on GOLD BINDER, FST PASTE GOLD BINDER, BINDER SPL NEO and FIXER Z&A through to PALE GOLD BRONZE metallic effects.

Performance Results

What large producers actually buy from Dyechem is the absence of variation. Every consignment is batch-tested against established standards and checked before despatch under a Right First Time protocol — the same drum, every time, at any volume. That consistency is why mills that started on the range decades ago are still on it.

And when something on the floor does misbehave, the answer doesn't stop at the drum. Recipes are supplied and on record, pre-bulk samples are tested on the customer's own fabric in Dyechem's laboratory, and field technicians attend site for dyeing and printing troubleshooting. Fifty years in means the failure a mill is looking at has almost certainly been solved in this building before.

Every failed batch has a chemical cause, and every product in this range exists to remove one. Fifty years of supplying producers at scale, drum-to-drum consistency verified before despatch, recipes on record, and technicians who come to the floor when something goes wrong — auxiliaries that protect the Right First Time rate instead of gambling with it.

Final thoughts

Every failed batch has a chemical cause, and every product in this range exists to remove one. Fifty years of supplying producers at scale, drum-to-drum consistency verified before despatch, recipes on record, and technicians who come to the floor when something goes wrong — auxiliaries that protect the Right First Time rate instead of gambling with it.
